Okay. Here we go wioth the actual numbered weeks of college football. We are at .500 with Point Spreads and Over/Under. we are at a .875 clip for picking straight-up winners. Let’s see what I can do this week.

  1. East Carolina at Alabama (-27.5, O/U: 52.5)

I don’t believe that East Carolina can win this, even I wish I could see that. Bama isn’t the juggernaut they were under Nick saban and aren’t even in the Top 3 of the SEC. Bama wins. Give me the 27.5 points and East carolina. I also will go the under for this game

2. Boise State and Oregon (-24.5 O/U: 51.5)

Whatever you think about Boise state and their track record, this is an opener that they need. Playing against a National title contender on a regular basis will help this program in the long term. You get losses, but you can measure yourself against the top teams and improve what you are doing. The PAC-12 favorites fall here but give a good accounting of themselves. Oregon wins. Boise state keeps it close until the end of the 3rd Quarted. I will take the 24.5 points. And give me the over on this game.

3. Clemson at LSU (-10, O/U: 50.5)

Two coaches I really don’t care for. Dabo because he whines when he isn’t on top and Lane Kiffin is always looking for media to get in front of. That being said, they can coach. Difference in this game is the talent. Kiffin has more high end talent than Debo does. Give me an LSU win, I will give the 10 points and say that LSU covers. That over/under is tough. Give me the under.

4. Washington State at Washington (-23.5, O/U: 50.5)

I will state this right now, I believe that Washington will win, cover and score lots of points on Washington state so I am going over. With all that being said, I like the PAC-12 teams and think that in the coming seasons that they will just become tougher teams top play. The Cougars are disorganized right now, but they will come back strionger. Make your hay with them right now.

5. Louisville at Mississippi (-7, O/U: 55.5)

Ole Miss went to the playoff last year, their coach is now the true head of the program after the Lane Kiffin fiasco. And somehow, they are able to have their QB for what I believe is his sixth season. Everything says take the Rebels and continue on. I can’t do that. Don’t ask me why, but I get a vibe off this matchup and will go with it. Give me Louisville in the upset. I will take the 7 points and feel great about it. Give me the under for this game.

6. Wisconsin at Notre Dame (-20.5, O/U: 47.5)

Ugh. We need Notre Dame in a conference. I mean not affiliated, but placed in a real conference. Maybe in the 2030 realignment craziness that will happen. Otherwise, they will continue to play their “traditional” rivals and have more room for error in the season. Give my ND for the win. I will give the 20.5 point spread and take the under for total points. Wisconsin is a dumpster fire.

7. SMU at Florida State (+3, O/U: 53.5)

SMU is the better team. Florida State will not improve that much until they get a better head coach. It is nice to see a home team as a dog though. I will give the 3 points and take SMU for the win and to cover. Give me the over on the game as well. I think that the SMU team will score often.

8. Miami at Stanford (+24.5, O/U: 47.5)

The Cardinal beat Hawaii last week. They were expected to roll over there. Now the mighty Hurricanes roll into town. Hawaii isn’t Miami. I will tak eth eHurricanes for the win and give the 24.5 points. If Stanford scores 14 points, it is going over the 47.5 total points. I will taKE THE OVER.

9. Fresno State AT USC (-21.5, O/U: 51.5)

I am thinking that Lincoln Riley wasn’t happy with the criticism that he received last week when the Trojans allowed San Jose state to score multiple times in the 4th Quarter. The Bulldogs of Fresno State are going to feel the brunt of that anger. USC wins, covers, and I’m taking the over.

10. Oregon State at Houston (-20.5, O/U: 49.5

While I’m not sold on Houston being a serious threat in the Big-12, they should have no problems with the other member of what used to be the Pac-2. I will take Houston, I will give the 20.5 points and also go with the under.
